Shelving Alarms

Alarm Management supports batch shelving alarms by configuring alarm shelving rules, and supports shelving alarms by manual in the Alarm Log and Active Alarm pages.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure that the current account has been assigned the required asset permissions, operation permissions, and the menu group containing Alarm Shelve, Alarm Log or Active Alarm. If not assigned, please contact the application administrator.

The following status exist for shelving rules:

  • Enabled: The shelving rule is in effect.

  • Expired: The shelving rule has expired.

  • Disabled: The shelving rule has been discarded, and alarms shelved by this shelving rule will be restored.

Viewing Shelved Alarms

  1. Select Alarm Shelving in the left navigation bar to access the Shelving Rule tab by default.

  2. Click View Records at the end of the target shelving rule row to jump to the Shelved Records tab.

Note

  • Manual shelving has a higher priority than shelving rules. For example, if “Alarm Record A” is manually shelved before it triggers the shelving rule, then the shelving type of “Alarm Record A” is displayed as Shelve Manually in the shelved record list.

  • New rules have a higher priority than old ones: For example, if “Alarm Record A” triggers “Shelving Rule 1 (the old rule)” before it triggers “Shelving Rule 2 (the new rule)”, “Alarm Record A” will only appear in the shelved record of “Shelving Rule 2”.

Editing a Shelving Rule

  2. Click Edit at the end of the target shelving rule row to modify the shelving rule.
