Unit 2: Preparing Models

Asset modeling is a prerequisite for building applications using EnOS Industry Application Common Building Blocks. The business objects and processes in the OU template configured in the next unit need to be bound to models before being used in asset onboarding and data configuration. For more information about models, see Device Modeling.

Application creators need to prepare models by following these steps:

  1. Based on the assets to be connected, decide a list of required models, including public and private models.

  2. Contact the system administrator to import all the listed models required for the application.

  3. (Optional) If the application needs to use Fleet Control to remotely control assets, contact the system administrator to add control points and standardized control services to the corresponding models.
