Managing Developer Portal


Native applications registered within EnOS will be displayed in Developer Portal of EnOS Application Portal and synchronized to the “Developer Portal Management” menu of Admin Console. If you need to create or modify a native application, contact the system administrator.

This article introduces how OU administrators manage the organization structure, menu, resource permissions, etc. of native applications in Admin Console of Application Portal.

Assigning Organization Structure


  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Select the target application’s Assign Organization Structure icon_assign_org_struct.

  3. Select the organization structure in the pop-up window. The same application can be assigned to up to 5 organization structures.

  4. Select OK.


After assigned an organization structure, the application can display information such as nodes, levels, and resources of the organization structure.


Note

EnOS assigns corresponding menu group permissions to the developer roles by default. If you need to change the developer’s permission scope, you can go to the Role menu and update the role’s menu group, permissions, and organization structure.

Managing Menu Group

Adding Menu Group


  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Select the target application’s Manage Menu Group icon_manage_menu_grp in the application list.

  3. Select the plus icon + in the left menu group list.

  4. Enter the menu group name in the pop-up window and select Submit.

  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Select the target application’s Manage Menu Group icon_manage_menu_grp in the application list.

  3. Select the target menu group in the menu group list on the left and select Manage Menus on the right.

  4. In the pop-up window, select the application menu that needs to be added to the menu group and select OK.


After the menu group is configured, the menu group can be assigned to a role. Users with this role can access the menus in the corresponding menu group through the application. See Managing Menu Groups for more information.

Granting Application Resource Permission


The application can only display data on the page if it has obtained the resource permissions. Grant resource permissions to your application by following these steps:

  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Hover over the target application’s ellipsis icon (…) and select Manage.

  3. In the Grant Resource Permissions section, select a resource authorization method:

    • Do not grant resource permissions: At this time, the application will not be able to display any asset and resource data.

    • Allow this application to get all resource permissions as an OU admin: At this time, the application can display data on all assets and resources within the OU. When the user’s role has corresponding resource permissions, the user can view this data through the application.

    • Allow this application to get the specified user’s resource permissions: At this time, the application can automatically synchronize the resource permissions of a certain user. You can assign permissions to the application through Assigning Resource Permission to User.


After resource permissions are assigned to an application, the application can display these resource data. You can go ahead and assign resource permissions to users to make sure users have permission to view resource data in the application.

Adding Tag


Application tags can be used to mark the application’s classification, agent account and other information. Follow the following steps to add tags to the application:

  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Hover over the target application’s ellipsis icon (…) and select Manage.

  3. Select Edit i_edit in the tag settings section.

  4. Enter the key and value of the tag in the tag settings pop-up window. To add multiple tags, select Add Tags.

  5. Select Save.


To delete the added application tag, select Edit i_edit in the tag settings section, select the delete icon i_delete to the right of the application tag in the pop-up window and select Save.

Ordering Application


Use the following steps to adjust application categories and the order in which applications are displayed in the application list in the application frontend:

  1. Select Developer Portal Management in the left navigation bar of Application Portal Admin Console.

  2. Select Sort on the application management page.

  3. Drag the application category name in the pop-up window to sort the application categories, or drag the application name to sort the applications under the same application category.

  4. Select Submit.
