User Task

The User Task is used to present a form for gathering user inputs. The gathered user inputs will be stored in variables, which can be used in other process elements.

Name

Specify a name for your own reference.

Task Assignee
Specify the user who must execute the task, or the candidate users who can execute the task.

  • If you assign the task to the process starter or a specific user, that person automatically becomes the assignee of the task and is the only person who can execute the task.

  • If you assign the task to candidate users or candidate user groups, there is no assignee until one of the candidate users or someone from a candidate user group claims the task. A task can only be executed by the user who claimed the task.
