Creating and Managing Master Data Groups¶
Creating a master data group is the first step to configure and pre-register the information of a device in the Device Provisioning Service. This sections shows how to create and manage a master data group.
Prerequisites¶
- Ensure that you have registered a personal or business account with EnOS to access the EnOS Management Console.
- Ensure the account has all the access for Asset and Model, and full access for Device Management Service. For more information, see Policies, Roles, and Permissions.
- Ensure that your OU has purchased the Device Provisioning Service application.
Creating a Master Data Group¶
- Select Device Provisioning Service > Master Data Group Management from the left navigation pane.
- Click New Master Data Group.
- Enter a Name (1 - 64 characters) and Description for the master data group.
- Click Save.
The created master data group will appear in the list of master data groups in the Master Data Group Management page.
Viewing and Editing Master Data Group Details¶
- Select Device Provisioning Service > Master Data Group Management from the left navigation pane.
- Locate the master data group that you wish to view or edit its details, and click View Details .
- In the Master Data Group Details page, you will be able to see the basic information of the master data group and its master data.
- To edit its basic information, click Edit . For more information on how to create and edit its master data, see Creating and Managing Master Data.
Deleting a Master Data Group¶
- Select Device Provisioning Service > Master Data Group Management from the left navigation pane.
- Locate the master data group that you wish to delete, and click Delete . A confirmation pop-up window will appear. Click OK to delete the master data group.
Note
If the master data group is linked to a registration group, the master data group cannot be deleted.
