Modeling Options¶
Objects can be used by applications only after they are modeled.
Before connecting a device to EnOS, you need to create a model for the device in EnOS, including basic information and feature definitions (measurement points, attributes, services, events).
You can create the model for a device in the following ways.
Use a public model¶
The public model library is a model library built in EnOS for key domains. You can directly use a public model provided by EnOS for your device. The public models provided by EnOS can be accessed through Model > Model List > Public Models in the EnOS Management Console.
If you use a public model, you can directly select the public model from the model list when creating a product.
Create a new private model¶
If the public models do not meet your needs, you can create a customized private model from scratch. For the steps to create a new model, see Creating a Model.
