Device Control¶
EnOS™ Edge receives the control command sent from applications on the cloud, converts them into protocol-conforming messages that the sub-device can process, and sends messages to the sub-devices to for them to execute the commands.
Prerequisites¶
The prerequisites required for the Edge to control sub-devices include the following:
The applications on the cloud can send device control.
The protocol with which Edge communicates with the sub-device supports the control command.
The sub-device can receive the remote control demands.
Methods to Control¶
EnOS™ Edge provides the following methods to control devices:
Standard local control APIs for Edge local applications and computing analysis module
Flexible remote control protocols for the third party control system
Compatible with the downlink control channel defined by EnOS™ standard
Control Type¶
The current Edge supports the following control types:
Remote control DO: Sending the switch quantity commands
Remote tuning AO: Sending the analog quantity commands
