Cloud-Edge Synergy

Compared with the centrally deployed cloud computing, edge computing not only solves high latency and large aggregated volume but also provides better support for real-time and bandwidth-intensive business. The deep integration of EnOS Edge and EnOS Cloud supports the following features:

  • Automatic or manual synchronization of meta-data updates between Edge and Cloud, including models, assets, and applications updates.

  • Real-time data synchronization from devices to EnOS Cloud, including device sampling data, statistics, and alerts.

  • Backfill the data gap when there is weak or no connectivity.

  • Control synergy between the remote and local paths.

  • Support deployment synergy, which means deploying the applications built on the cloud into the edge.

Asset/Model Synergy

EnOS Edge and Enos Cloud use the same set of assets and models, with the following capabilities:

  • The asset or model configured on the cloud can be released to the edge.

  • Assets and models can be imported when there is weak or no connectivity.

  • Based on the asset or model, EnOS Edge can exchange data with EnOS Cloud.

Configuration Synergy

Through EnOS Cloud asset configuration center, your remote configuration can be released and executed on EnOS Edge.

When there is weak or no connectivity, you can manually import the edge-related configuration to the edge. Then the edge restarts to enable relevant services.

Alert Synergy

EnOS Edge provides the following services about alert synergy:

  • Asset-oriented alert management consistent with EnOS Cloud

  • Unified alert configuration through edge-cloud synergy

  • Synchronization with the cloud, such as synchronizing alert level, type, content, and rules

Application Synergy

Application synergy between the cloud and the edge has the following rules:

  • Train algorithm models on the cloud, and then release to the Edge for algorithm model reasoning.

  • Ensure that the edge-cloud message moves smoothly from uploading data, issuing model to controlling orders.

  • Ensure that no conflicts are between cloud message synchronization and local computing.

  • Monitor the abnormal alerts of cloud applications in real time, including abnormal traffic, exception, exception.

  • Support smart query for the cloud application log.

Control Synergy

The following features let EnOS Edge achieve control synergy:

  • Standard local control APIs for Edge local applications and computing analysis module

  • Flexible remote control protocols for the third party control system

  • Compatible with the downlink control channel defined by EnOS standard
