Defining and Configuring Dimension Tables¶
A dimension refers to a specific perspective from which to observe and evaluate data, and is a certain type of attribute of things, such as geographic dimensions (including countries, regions, and provinces). A dimension table is a collection of all attribute information from a certain dimension. You can define the structure of the dimension table in managing dimension definitions, configure data for attributes in the dimension table in managing dimension configurations, and view dimension synchronization tasks in managing dimension tasks and instances. In addition, you can also map data tables in the database directly to dimension tables in quickly creating dimension tables to improve the efficiency of creating dimension tables.
