Creating Edge Cascading

This article describes how to create a edge cascading between different configuration centers.

Before You Start

Step 1: Create and Export Forwarding Connection

  1. Log in to the local EnOS configuration tool of the child Edge device, select Edge Management > Edge Details > Forwarding > IEC-104.
  2. Click connection on the right and select Full Connection from the drop-down menu.
  3. Fill in the information in the “Bulk Create Forwarding Connections” pop-up box.
  4. Click Confirm to complete automatic creation of the forwarding connection.
  5. Enter the destination IP address to search for the corresponding forwarding connection.
  6. Select the forwarding connections that need to be forwarded to the parent Edge device. You can click All Pages to select all the connections.
  7. Click export in the upper right corner to export the forwarding connections as a Zip file.

Step 2: Import Access Connection

  1. Log in to the configuration center of the parent Edge device using the local asset config tool of the cloud asset config tool.

  2. Select Edge Management > Edge Details > Access > Ethernet.

  3. Click import beside the “connection” and click Batch Import Forwarding Connection from the drop-down menu.

    Note

When importing packages from the local configuration center to the cloud configuration center (EnOS Management Console), ensure that the forwarding connection of the child Edge device is only imported to one parent Edge device.

  4. Fill in the information in the “Auto Add Access Connection” pop-up box. See Configuration Items.

  5. Click Confirm for the system to identify conflicts. If there is no conflict report, the package is imported successfully.

  6. If a conflict report pops up, deal with the conflict:

    • Click Cancel to discard this import and fix the conflict item manually.
    • Click Confirm to ignore the conflicts and continue to import.
  7. Click the Publish button to deploy edge cascading on Edge devices.
