Resources on EnOS¶
When the O&M personnel create a tenant, they will give each OU in the tenant the default resource capacity to meet the basic operations on EnOS. If you need to expand or adjust the capabilities of the EnOS cluster, you can contact the O&M personnel.
EnOS Resource Capacity¶
Resource capacity on EnOS refers to the size of the resource pool available to a single OU, reflecting the maximum size that such resources can achieve on EnOS. The O&M personnel will define the following default resource capacity for the OU within the tenant on demand based on the needs of the project:
The device data storage duration, storage capacity, etc.
The number of each instance that can be created within the OU, such as the maximum number of devices that can be connected. For the quantity limits of each entity, please refer to the limitations of each product or service of EnOS.
When Do I Need to Adjust Resource Capacity?¶
Use high-end functions with large resource requirements: The basic deployment of EnOS only includes basic capabilities such as device connection and application building, and has small requirements on system resources. If you need advanced functions involving sophisticated processing, analysis, and calculation of complex data, you need to contact the O&M personnel to expand resource capacity.
Expand existing resources: As business grows, existing resource capacity may not be able to meet new business needs. You can apply for higher specification resources through resource expansion.
Reduce the capacity of existing resources: As the business stabilizes, the existing resource capacity may be higher than the amount of resources required by the business. You can reduce resource size and reduce resource specifications to save costs.
How Can I Manage Resources?¶
OU administrators can manage resources within the OU through EnOS Application Portal > Admin Console > Resource Management or Application Portal Service - Resource APIs. OU administrators can perform the following operations on resources:
View existing resources in the OU.
Define the resource type. For example, define the Page Template in EnOS Digital Twin Visualization as a resource type.
Register resources. After defining the resource type, the OU administrator can register resource instances or synchronize assets created by device managers to the resource list of the OU.
Assign resource permissions. Users can only access the data of this resource if they have the permission of the resource.
