Configuring Charting Tool¶
This page describes how application creators configure Charting Tool to build asset data charts.
Prerequisites¶
Before you start, make sure that:
You have been assigned with the required asset permissions, operational permissions, and a menu group containing the Charting Tool page. If not assigned, contact your application administrators.
You have registered the attributes, measurement points, and metrics of target assets in Common Data Service (CDS). For more information, see About EnOS Common Data Service.
Configuring Page Functions¶
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Note
The menu name in your applications might be different from the name in this article, because of the customization on menu names for Unified Monitoring pages. Contact the application administrator for more information.
Select the Basic Settings tab and configure the following information.

Modify Query Conditions
Allow application users to modify the chart configuration.
Enable this function, and application users can perform operations in Configuring Charts.
Template
Allow application users to apply chart templates. Once enabled, you can select

Select the Asset Settings tab and configure the following information.

Specify the asset dimensions supported in Charting Tool.

Asset Type
Specify the asset type supported in Charting Tool. If you select multiple asset types, you can drag the sorting icon on the left of each asset type to sort the display order.
For example, to show wind, hydro, and solar sites in turn, you can select

Display the asset filter in the Charting Tool page when the Chart Range is

.Enable this function, and application users can use site filters, device type filters, and device filters to select the assets displayed in the chart. For more information about the filters in Charting Tool, see Filtering Data.
Select the Time Settings tab, and configure the following information.

Allow users display comparison data when configuring charts or filtering chart data.

Select the Data Settings tab, and configure the following information.
Select Publish. In the popup window, enter the description on the Remark text box, and select OK.
Configuring Charts¶
You can create time series charts based on the measurement point or metric data of assets in the specified sites or site groups during a specific time period. Configure the information such as asset, data field, and time period of the Charting Tool by the following steps:
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Select More to open the configuration popup window in the Charting Tool page.
Select the following scope in the Chart Scope section.

Site Group
Analyze the time series data of the devices in above-site asset hierarchy layers such as group and region.
Site
Analyze the time series data of the devices in the specified sites.
Device
Analyze the time series data of the specified devices.
Select the assets displayed on the chart in the Select Assets section.
Select the data fields, including measurement points and metrics, displayed on the chart in the Select Data section.
Configure the following information in the Select Display Style section.

Interpolate based on the data of the last time point if there is no data for a data field on specified time point.

Select the decimal places of the data displayed on the chart, supporting

You can only choose the intervals supported by all selected data fields. For more information on the time interval in Common Data Service, see Registering a Virtual Measurement Point and Registering a Source Metric.Comparison

Select the start time and end time of the data fields in the chart.
Select Apply.
Managing Chart Templates¶
The templates of Charting Tool contains multiple configuration items such as:
Asset dimension and asset type
Object and data field
Chart style
Time interval and time range
Custom analysis items
Saving or Updating a Template¶
Save the current report configuration as a template or update the configuration of an existing template by the following steps:
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Hover over the setting button and select Save Template from the dropdown list.
Enter the following information on the popup window.

Enter the name of the template.

Enter the description of the template.
Template Category
Select a category to which the template belongs.
Save Time Interval and Scope
Save the current configuration of time interval and time scope into the template.
Save as OU Default View
Display the template as the Metric Inquiry Report when opening the Common KPI Inquiry page.
Select OK.
Saving the Modified Template as a New Template¶
If you have applied a template to the current page and modified the template configuration, save the modified template as a new template by the following steps:
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Hover over the setting button and select Save as Template from the dropdown list.
Enter the following information on the popup window.

Select a category to which the template belongs.
Save Time Interval and Scope
Save the current configuration of time interval and time scope into the template.
Save as OU Default View
Display the template as the Metric Inquiry Report when opening the Common KPI Inquiry page.
Select OK.
Editing a Template¶
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Select Templates.
Hover over the card of the target template and select the edit icon .
Edit the name, description, and category of the template in the popup window and select OK.
Deleting a Template¶
Managing Template Categories ¶
You can use template categories to classify and manage templates according to information such as scenarios, objects, and time range.
Creating a Category¶
Select Charting Tool from the left navigation pane.
Select Templates.
Select the edit icon to open the Category Configuration popup window.
Select Add and enter a category name. After you create a category, you can add the template to a template category when Saving or Updating a Template, Saving the Modified Template as a New Template or Editing a Template.

Restoring History Versions¶
You can view the information about history versions such as version numbers, the users to publish versions, the publishing time of versions, and publishing remarks.If you want to use a history version of Charting Tool, restore the version by the following steps:
