Managing Notifications


This article introduces how to manage notifications sent by applications on the notification popup window of Application Portal.

Prerequisites


Before you start, make sure that:

  • You have the access permissions for related applications and assets.

  • The target applications support notification function.

Viewing Notifications


  1. Select the alarm icon i_bell on the top right corner of the page to open the notification popup window.

  2. On the left panel, select an application to view the list of notifications sent by the application and the time when the notifications are sent.

  3. On the right panel:

    • To view the details of a notification, select the target notification to open the related page of the application sent the notification.

    • To view the full list of notifications, select View All to open the related page of the application sent the notifications.

Note

This function might vary in different OU. For more information, contact the system administrator.

Acknowledging Notifications


  1. Select the alarm icon i_bell on the top right corner of the page to open the notification popup window.

  2. Select the blue button along side an notification to acknowledge the notification. Once acknowledged, the notification will be removed from the list.

  3. (Optional) If you have reached the end of the notification list, select Load more to view more notifications.

Configuring notifying Methods


Application Portal notifies users when receiving new notifications by playing a ringtone or opening the notification popup window automatically. You can configure the notifying method when receiving new notifications by the following steps:

  1. Select the alarm icon i_bell on the top right corner of the page to open the notification popup window.

  2. On the notification popup window:

    • Select the speaker icon i_ringtone to turn the ringtone on or off.

    • Select the popup window icon i_popup to enable or disable the automatic opening of the message window.
