Querying Asset Metadata¶
With Data Catalog, you can query the metadata information of an asset, including the basic information of the asset, tags attached to the asset, and a complete list of all the measuring points for the asset.
Querying assets¶
Data Catalog supports querying the metadata information of all assets in the OU. You can search for an asset by taking the following steps:
- Log in to the EnOS Console and select Data Catalog from the left navigation bar.
- In the left Type list, select Asset.
- In the search field, type a keyword to search for assets, as shown below:
Note
The search keywords are case sensitive and can match the ID, name, and description of assets.
Viewing search results¶
In the asset search result list, click the View icon in the Operations column, open the page of asset details, and view the following metadata of the asset.
Basic information¶
Under the Basic tab, view the basic information of the asset, including:
- Asset ID
- Name and description
- Time zone where the asset locates
- People who created the asset, and the time when the asset was created and updated
- Tags attached to the asset
Click Attach Tags and use the pre-defined tag template to attach tags to the asset. Click the Edit or Delete icon to edit or delete tags that are attached to the asset.
Measuring point list¶
Click the Points tab to view all the measuring points for the asset, including:
- Measuring point ID. Click an ID to query the metadata information of a measuring point.
- Name and description of measuring points
- Measuring point type
