Querying Measuring Point Metadata

With Data Catalog, you can create a measuring point and query the metadata information of measuring points in the OU, including basic information, TSBD storage policy, data archiving jobs, and related assets.

Creating a measuring point

You can create a measuring point by taking the following steps:

  1. Log in to the EnOS Console and select Data Catalog from the left navigation bar.
  2. From the New drop-down menu on the left, select Point.
  3. On the New Point page, enter the ID, name, and description of the measuring point, and select the point type.
  4. Click Confirm to create the measuring point.

Querying measuring points

Data Catalog supports querying the metadata of all measuring points in the OU. You can search for a measuring point by taking the following steps:

  1. In the Type list on the left side of the Data Catalog page, select Point.
  2. In the search field, type a keyword to search for measuring points, as shown below:

Note

The search keywords are case sensitive and can match the ID, name, and description of measuring points.

Viewing search results

In the measuring point search results, click the View icon in the Operations column, open the page of measuring point details, and view the following metadata of the measuring point.

Basic information

Under the Basic tab, view the basic information of the measuring point, including:

  • Point ID, in the format of {model identifier}::{measuring point identifier}. If the measuring point is created through the data catalog service, there is no model identifier in its format.
  • Point name and description
  • Point type
  • People who created the point, and the time when the point was created and updated
  • Tags attached to the measuring point

Click Attach Tags and use the pre-defined tag template to attach tags to the measuring point. Click the Edit or Delete icon to edit or delete tags that are attached to the measuring point.

TSDB storage

Click the TSDB Storage tab to view the TSDB storage policies configured for the measuring point, including:

  • Storage policy group
  • Data storage type
  • Storage time
  • Storage scope

Archiving job

Click the Archive Job tab to view the information of data archiving jobs configured for the model to which the measuring point belongs, including:

  • Name and description of archiving task
  • Storage type and resource
  • Storage path and file name
  • Data archiving period
