3D Chart¶
The 3D chart embeds a three-dimensional model in a DTV page, overlays data cards on the model, and lets the material of model parts change with data values. It suits equipment layout displays, three-dimensional inspection, and campus energy monitoring, where a physical position matters.
For common configuration such as the title, background, padding, and refresh frequency, see Common Configurations for Charts.
Data of 3D Chart¶
The 3D chart centers on Measurement and accepts 1 or more measurement fields. Each measurement can serve as the data source of one data card and can drive the material of the model part it is bound to through condition rules.
For general information about data sources and data fields, see Common Configurations for Charts > Configuring Data.
Style of 3D Chart¶
The Style tab has two sections: Scene Style and Card Style.
Scene Style¶
Configures the three-dimensional model and the environment HDRI to build the 3D scene.
3D Model¶
Selects the source of the model. Upload by default:
Upload: Uploads a local model file. Only the GLTF format (
.gltf) is supported, with at most 1 file.URL: Enter the network address of the model file.
Once the model is loaded, the system parses the names of the parts (meshes) in it, which become the options of Link 3D Models in Card.
Note
After a model is uploaded again, all configured cards are cleared and need to be configured from scratch.
Environment HDRI¶
Controls the ambient lighting of the scene, which affects the shading and texture of the model. Default by default:
Default: Uses a set of built-in directional lights and loads no environment map.
Photo Studio: Simulates studio lighting with even light, which suits showing equipment detail.
Blue Sky and Earth: Simulates outdoor natural light with a sky background, which suits outdoor scenes such as campuses and buildings.
Card Style¶
Links data to model materials and uses cards to display the data and status of the model.
Card¶
Select Add Card to add a card. Each card is configured independently:
Title: The title text shown on the card, explaining what data it presents.
Link 3D Models: Select one or more parts from the part list parsed out of the model. The selected parts are both the anchor of the card and the target whose material the condition rules change.
Condition Data: Select the measurement field the card presents. The options come from the measurements currently added.
Unit: The unit text shown after the value on the card.
Color Rules: Select Add to add a rule, assigning a material to the selected parts per value range. Each rule contains From, To, and a material, and the material can be Original Material, Highlight - Red, Highlight - Yellow, or Highlight - Green. Only these 4 fixed materials are available; arbitrary colors cannot be defined. Rules are matched from top to bottom in priority order. When From or To is left empty, the lower bound is treated as -infinity and the upper bound as +infinity respectively.
Note
The part list is filled in automatically once the model finishes loading. When the list is empty, complete the 3D Model configuration first.
Card Style¶
The following items apply to all cards.
Position: The position of the cards relative to the model, either Left (default) or Right.
Name Font: Sets the font, font size, and color of the card title.
Value Font: Sets the font, font size, and color of the card value.
Unit Font: Sets the font, font size, and color of the card unit text.
Decimal Places: Rounds the value on the card to the specified number of places. Options are
-, 0, 1, 2, and 3, with-as the default, which leaves the original precision unchanged.
Interactions at Runtime¶
The widget provides the following behaviors at runtime, with no configuration needed:
Viewpoint control: Hold and drag the mouse in the model area to rotate the view, scroll to zoom, and drag with the right button to pan.
Card click: Selecting a card toggles the highlight state of the parts it is bound to, which helps locate parts in a complex model.
Adaptive size: The 3D scene re-fits automatically when the widget size changes.
Empty state: When no model is configured, the scene area is blank.
Note
The 3D chart does not support style copying. A large model file takes time to load the first time, and no progress indicator is shown while loading.
