Inline Frame¶
The inline frame widget (iframe) embeds an external web page or web application in a dashboard page, so that end users can view third-party content on the same page without navigating away.
For common configuration such as the title, background, and refresh frequency, see Common Configurations for Charts.
Data of Inline Frame¶
The inline frame accepts 1 measurement field, whose value is used as the address of the page to embed. This suits letting the embedded content change with the address the data source returns.
For general information about data sources and data fields, see Common Configurations for Charts > Configuring Data.
Style of Inline Frame¶
URL¶
URL is the address of the page to embed. The target page must allow being embedded in an iframe, that is its response headers must not set X-Frame-Options: DENY or a related CSP restriction; otherwise the browser refuses to load it.
Page parameters can be used in the address to pass values dynamically. For more information, see Configuring Page Parameters.
Note
The address entered here takes precedence over the address from the measurement field. When both are configured, the address entered here is loaded; leave the box empty when the embedded page needs to change with the data.
Interactions at Runtime¶
Interactions inside the embedded page are provided by that page itself and DTV does not interfere. The widget is skipped when the page is exported as an image and does not take part in the screenshot.
Note
The Basic tab of the inline frame provides no Widget Padding, and the widget supports neither widget linkage nor style copying.
